ABC is adding to the cast of their summer series Mistresses.
Jennifer Esposito, arguably best known for her role as Detective Jackie Curatola on the CBS cop drama Blue Bloods, has joined the cast of Mistresses as a series regular for its upcoming 13 episode third season, TVWise has learned.
Mistresses follows the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends, each on her own path to self-discovery. The drama series is produced by ABC Studios and stars Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim, Jes Macallan, Jason George and Brett Tucker.
Jennifer Esposito, whose long list of television credits also include Taxi Brooklyn, Samantha Who? and Spin City, will play Calista Raines, the Creative Director of a luxury fashion brand who is described as “uber-fabulous and larger-than-life”.
She replaces original cast member Alyssa Milano, who exited the show back in October, shortly after ABC renewed Mistresses for a 13 episode third season. The reason for the actresses departure was down to ABC Studios decision to relocate production from LA to Vancouver.
