Universal Channel Sets UK Return Date For ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ Season 16

Law & Order SVU S16 (Pattern Seventeen)UPDATED: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will return to Universal Channel to finish airing its sixteenth season on Sunday February 22nd at 10pm, it has been announced.

Created by Dick Wolf, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit revolves around the activities of the Manhattan Special Victims Unit of the NYPD, which investigates sexually based offences. The drama series is produced by Wolf Films in association with Universal Television and stars Mariska Hargitay, Ice T, Tamara Tunie, Danny Pino, Kelli Giddish and Raul Esparza

In the next new episode, titled Pattern Seventeen, Detective Rollins notice a connection between a number of rapes she worked in Atlanta to a series of assaults on young, petite girls in the early morning hours in NYC. When she finds that the victims’ rape kits were never tested, Atlanta SVU Chief Patton (Harry Hamlin) claims none of the cases were worth pursuing. Intense media scrutiny and the lack of a suspect brings the heat down on Sgt. Benson, who has to face Chief Dodds (Peter Gallagher) and their commanders in a CompStat briefing.
