And the first official orders for this pilot season are in…
NBC has handed out pilot orders to comedies Superstore, How We Live and an as-yet untitled comedy from Suzanne Martin, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner – all three of which hail from NBC’s sister studio Universal Television.
Superstore follows a group of employees at a big-box store and explores the examination of love, friendship and the beauty of everyday moments. It is being written by The Office‘s Justin Spitzer who also serves as an executive producer alongside David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer. Fleischer will also direct.
From MTV’s former Head of Programming David Janollari, How We Live follows a blogger and his wife who move to the suburbs where he begins writing about marriage and the family lives of his suburban friends and neighbors in the style of an anthropologist who’s stumbled on an undiscovered tribe. The comedy is being penned by Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg, who will EP alongside Janollari.
The untitled multi-camera comedy from Hot In Cleveland creator Suzanne Martin and Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s production company Hazy Mills examines how things backfire for recent empty-nesters when their children and their parents move back home. Martin, Hayes and Milliner will executive produce.
