NBC is continuing to proceed apace with its pilot orders.

The peacock has picked up two new comedy pilots: Take It From Us, which hails from Friends and Ground Floor executive producer Greg Mallins; and People Are Talking from Growing Up Fisher creator D.J. Nash, TVWise has learned.

Penned by Mallins and Barry Schwartz, Take It From Us follows a couple who tells their son the lessons they learned growing up in the ’90s in the hopes that he avoids making the same mistakes. The comedy is set up at Sony Pictures Television, where Greg Mallins is under an overall deal. The executive producers are Greg Mallins, Barry Schwartz, Michael Rotenberg and Jonathan Berry.

People Are Talking is a couples comedy which examines sex, race and everything else your parents told you never to talk about. The script is being penned by DJ Nash and is being produced by Universal Television and Will Packer Productions. Nash and The Wedding Ringer‘s Will Packer will executive produce.

This latest round of pickups brings NBC’s total number of pilots to nine and comes after they ordered three comedy pilots (Superstore, How We Live and Untitled Suzanne Martin Comedy Project) and two dramas (The Curse Of The Fuentes Women and Love Is A Four Letter Word) just last week.
