CBS has handed out pilot orders to Code Black, a medical drama from Intelligence creator Michael Seitzman, and The Half Of It, a multi-camera comedy about a newly-divorced dad from Tosh.0 co-creator and executive producer Mike Gibbons, TVWise has learned.
Code Black is set in the busiest emergency room in the United States, Los Angeles County Hospital, where the extraordinary staff members confront a broken system in order to protect their ideals and the patients who need them the most.
The medical drama is based on the feature documentary of the same name by Ryan McGarry and is set up at ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios, both of whom have preciously collaborated on the Criminal Minds franchise. Intelligence showrunner Michael Seitzman is penning the script and will executive produce alongside Marti Noxon.
The Half Of It follows a newly divorced dad who revels in the fact that he now gets to keep half his stuff, which is more than he ever had when he was married. The CBS Television Studios produced multi-camera comedy is being penned by Mike Gibbons, who will also executive produce.
