Joe Manganiello (True Blood), Lea Michele (Glee), Abigail Breslin (August: Osage County) and Keke Palmer (Masters of Sex) are set to star in Ryan Murphy’s new Fox series Scream Queens, TVWise has learned.
Like Murphy’s cable series’ American Horror Story and American Crime Story, Scream Queens is an anthology series which will tell a new comedy-horror story each season. The first season, which has an order for 15 episodes, revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.
Further details, including plot and the characters being played by Joe Manganiello, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin and Keke Palmer, are being kept firmly under wraps. The join previously announced cast members Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) and Emma Roberts (American Horror Story: Freak Show). Ariana Grande will also have a recurring role on Scream Queens.
Scream Queens, which was initially picked up straight-to-series back in October, was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Ian Brennan, and is set up at Fox’s sister studio 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan will executive produce. Production is slated to commence in the Spring for a Fall 2015 premiere.
