At their executive panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, HBO confirmed the premiere dates for the new seasons of three of their hit series.
Up first is flagship drama Game of Thrones, which will kick off its 10 episode fifth season on Sunday April 12th at 9/8c. HBO has already picked up a sixth season and while they have yet to reveal any official details of the new season, world previously leaked out that regulars Kristian Nairn and Isaac Hempstead-Wright will not appear this year.
Comedies Silicon Valley and Veep unspool just behind Thrones, with the second season of Silicon Valley premiering on Sunday April 12th at 10/9c. While the fourth season of Veep, which will be the first full season to feature Selina Meyer as POTUS, follows just behind at 10:30/9:30c.
The network also revealed that their newest comedy The Brink will debut in the Summer. The series, starring Jack Black, Tim Robbins and Pablo Schreiber, follows three men: Secretary of State Walter Larson, lowly Foreign Service officer Alex Talbot and ace Navy fighter pilot Zeke Tilson, who must pull through the chaos around them to save the planet from World War Three.
