BBC One has released the first trailer for their latest David Walliams’ adaptation The Boy In The Dress.
Adapted for television by Kevin Cecil, Andy Riley and David Walliams, The Boy In The Dress tells the story of a Dennis, a 12 year-old boy, who lives in an ordinary town – but he feels different. A chance view of a fashion magazine introduces him to a whole new world of colour and creativity, but can a boy wear a dress, and what will the Headmaster, his Dad, and his friends in the football team think if they find out?
The 60 minute drama, which is based on the novel of the same name, is produced by BBC In House Comedy & King Bert Productions and stars newcomer Billy Kennedy, Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous), Tim McInnerny (Strike Back), Meera Syal (The Kumars), Steve Speirs (Extras), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners), Felicity Montagu (I’m Alan Partridge) and David Walliams (Big School). Kate Moss is also set to make a cameo appearance.
The Boy In The Dress is set to premiere on BBC One on Friday December 26th at 6:55pm.
