Sons of Anarchy alum Maggie Siff has lined up her next job.
The actress, who starred as Tara Knowles on the first six seasons of the FX biker series, has signed on to star in Showtime’s hour-long financial drama pilot Billions, which is being toplined by Damian Lewis (Homeland, Wolf Hall) and Paul Giamatti (John Adams, Donwton Abbey).
Penned an executive produced by Andrew Ross Sorkin, David Levien and Brian Koppelman, Billions takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Paul Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis).
Maggie Siff will play Wendy Rhoades, Chuck’s wife. After graduating at the top of her medical school class and training as a psychiatrist, she is now a highly in demand performance coach who works with some of the most powerful and influential figures in the world of high finance.
Divergent helmer Neil Burger is attached to direct the pilot, which is set to begin production in New York early next year
