Sky1’s one-off drama Agatha Raisin And The Quiche Of Death will premiere on Boxing Day (Friday December 26th) at 8:30pm, it has been announced.
Based on the novel series by M C Beaton, Agatha Raisin And The Quiche Of Death follows PR guru Agatha Raisin, who gives up her successful career in London for a new “dream” life in the quiet village of Carsely, but soon finds it’s not quite the picture-perfect existence she imagined, and that the locals might not be quite ready for Agatha’s own brand of feisty straight talking. When she inadvertently becomes a suspect in a murder case, Agatha must enlist the few allies she can find to set about clearing her name and earn the respect of her fellow villagers by solving the mystery of the quiche of death.
The one-off drama, which was penned by Stewart Harcourt, is being produced by Endeavour indie Mammoth Screen and [email protected] TV, who developed the drama alongside Raydar Media. It stars Ashley Jensen (The Escape Artist), Hermione Norris (Spooks), Robert Bathurst (Downton Abbey), Katy Wix (Not Going Out), Mathew Horne (Gavin and Stacey), Jamie Glover (Waterloo Road), James Barnett and Matt McCooey . Geoff Sax is the director.
