BBC Names Jo Street Acting Controller Of Daytime

Jo StreetThe BBC has named Jo Street to the position of Acting Controller of Daytime.

Jo Street, who has been serving as Commissioning Editor for Daytime, will take up post in January and will report to Charlotte Moore, Controller of BBC One.

As Commissioning Editor, Jo Street was responsible for Daytime and Early Peak commissioning from Scotland and Northern Ireland and worked on such programmes as Countryfile, Homes under the Hammer, Antiques Road Trip, Eggheads, and more recently Holiday Of My Lifetime with Len Goodman.

She succeeds Damian Kavanagh, who was appointed as Digital Controller of BBC Three last week, and will remain in post until the BBC finds a permanent replacement for the exec, whom is also serving as the corporation’s lead for the proposals to move BBC Three Online .

The BBC will advertise and begin interviewing for a new Controller of Daytime in the new year.
