ITV Sets Premiere Date For ‘The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies’

Lost Honour (FT)

ITV’s new two-part drama The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies will premiere on Wednesday December 10th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Penned by award winning scribe Peter Morgan (who is now working on royal drama The Crown for Netflix), The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies tells the true story of Christopher Jefferies, who, following the murder of Jo Yeates in 2010, was arrested by police and was considered the primary suspect until evidence pointing to Vincent Tabak surfaced. Christopher Jefferies’ life was turned upside down by the ordeal, exacerbated by the intense press coverage which vilified Jefferies.

The two-parter begins on the day before Yeates’ disappearance, and follows the innocent Jefferies through his arrest, release and subsequent isolation as his un-sought fame profoundly affected his life. It is produced by NBCUniversal’s Carnival Films and stars Jason Watkins (Trollied) as Christopher Jefferies; Joe Sims (Broadchurch) as Vincent Tabak; Peter Polycarpou (Family Tree) as Louis Charalambous; and Shaun Parkes (Da Vinci’s Demons) as Paul Okebu.
