CBS has set a launch date for the final season of The Mentalist.
The show’s seventh season, which runs 13 episodes, will debut on Sunday November 30th at 9:30/8:30c. It will remain in that timeslot for five weeks, before seguing to Wednesday nights at 8pm on January 7th, culminating in a two-hour series finale on Wednesday February 18th.
Current Sunday night dramas The Good Wife and Madam Secretary will wrap their fall runs on November 23rd and November 30th, respectively, before they return to CBS’ schedule on Sunday January 4th.
In addition to slotting the final season of The Mentalist, CBS has announced that the sixth season of Undercover Boss will debut with three special Sunday night broadcasts, beginning on December 21st at 8/7c, before moving to its regular timeslot on Friday January 2nd.
“One of the goals this season was to keep expanding our lineup of year-round, original programming and have fewer repeat cycles,” said Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Primetime. “We’re fortunate to have two popular, proven ratings winners in The Mentalist and Undercover Boss to seamlessly join our schedule.”
