Channel 5 is adding Zack & Quack to their line up of kids programming.
The broadcaster, which was just acquired by Viacom, has inked a deal with Zodiak Kids to pick up all 52 episodes of animated series Zack & Quack, TVWise has learned. The series will air on Channel 5 later this year as part of kids strand Milkshake!
Zack & Quack follows the adventures of a dynamic and adventurous boy named Zack and his best friend, an impulsive young duck called Quack. The series is produced by The Foundation, in partnership with QQD Limited and South Korean animation studio High 1 Entertainment. Nickelodeon has previously aired Zack and Quack in numerous countries around the world, including the US and the UK.
Channel 5 is one of several broadcasters to have acquired the series since it was launched at MIPCOM last year. Zodiak Kids has also sold Zack & Quack to Discovery Italy, Clan TVE in Spain, TG4 in Ireland, MTVA in Hungary, NRK in Norway, PlusPlus in Ukraine, e.tv in Africa, MBC in Middle East, Mediacorp in Singapore), PTS and Horng En in Taiwan and Thai PBS in Thailand.
