Scorpion TV has sold a number of their factual titles to broadcasters around the world.
The London based international production and distribution company has struck deals for their factual content with broadcasters in Australia, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and Brazil as well as a number of international airlines, TVWise has learned.
VTM Belgium and UR Sweden have acquired Channel 4’s Porn On The Brain and How To Be A Billionaire; while Scorpion has also sold Porn on The Brain to ZDF Germany, YLE Finland, Globosat Brasil and TVNZ; and How To Be Billionaire to VTM Belgium, UR Sweden, Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines and United Airlines.
Meanwhile, Scorpion TV has also sold documentary Cyber Bully to TV4 Sweden, NHK Japan and Landmark USA; and Musicwood to Sky TV New Zealand and Russia Today. The UK distributor has also sold both titles to Australian broadcaster Foxtel; and documentaries Tornado Chasers and Places We Go to Ukrainian broadcaster Sonar TV.
Rounding out the sales is Al Jazeera Arabic’s acquisition of the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Stem Cell Revolutions, which examines the latest developments in stem cell biology. The deals come ahead of MIPCOM next month, when Scorpion will be launching new factual titles Survival of the Fabulous, Boobs and A Goat For A Vote.
