Hemlock Grove is getting a final run on Netflix.
The streaming service has picked up the Eli Roth produced horror series for a 10 episode final season, which will air in 2015, Netflix announced on Tuesday.
Based on Brian McGreevy’s novel of the same name, Hemlock Grove revolves around the eccentric residents of a dilapidated former Pennsylvania steel town and the murder of 17-year-old Brooke Bluebell. Through the investigation, the town’s seamier side is exposed, revealing that nothing is what it seems.
The series is produced by Gaumont International Television and stars Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgård, Landon Liboiron, Penelope Mitchell, Freya Tingley, and Dougray Scott. Charles “Chic” Eglee is returning as showrunner on season three alongside executive producers Eli Roth, Brian McGreevy, Lee Shipman, Eric Newman and Michael Connolly.
“We, along with the fans, are looking forward to visiting Hemlock Grove one last time, and we know that Chic, Eli and the team will provide a riveting and mind bending conclusion to complete the series” said Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Programming.
“We are so grateful to the fans of ‘Hemlock Grove’ who have championed the series so intensely over two seasons”, commented executive producer Eli Roth. “We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you’d come to expect from ‘Hemlock Grove.’”
While Showrunner Chic Eglee added: “We are delighted that our fans have invited us back to explore the fiendish recesses of the human condition for another season. Knowing it will be our last, gives us the opportunity to go out in a mushroom cloud of clever and soul shattering mayhem. See you soon on the twisted streets of Hemlock Grove”.
