Sky has added another executive to their comedy team.
Morwenna Gordon has been appointed as a Development Executive on the satcaster’s comedy team, which is led by Head of Comedy Lucy Lumsden. Gordon previously served as an Executive Producer in Sky’s Digital Entertainment department, where she worked on numerous scripted and unscripted comedy projects.

She will also work on off-screen events such as the Sky Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, which is being sponsored by BSkyB for the third year in a row.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work across a raft of comedy shows in my previous role and I’m incredibly excited about moving into the Comedy team”, said Morwenna Gordon. “There’s a huge wealth of comedy talent coming through Sky’s entertainment channels and having the opportunity to work more closely across the development of the slate is an amazing opportunity”.

Her appointment follows the recent promotion of Ben Boyer to the position of Commissioning Editor. Lucy Lumsden’s team also includes Commissioning Editor Jon Mountague and Development Co-ordinator Nicole Muldowney.
“Morwenna is a fantastically talented individual and has always impressed me with her strong digital campaigns that have supported Sky’s comedy shows in such creative and complementary ways”, added Sky’s Head of Comedy Lucy Lumsden. “She’s an excellent addition the team and I look forward to watching her go from strength to strength in her continued career at Sky.”
