Mere days after the Fall season kicked off, CBS has announced a number of changes to their schedule.
The Big Bang Theory will continue airing double-bills on Monday nights (consisting of a new episode at 8pm and a repeat at 8:30pm) for the next three weeks.
As a result of that move, Mom and The Millers will be swapping time-slots. Mom will now premiere on Thursday October 30th at 8:30pm after a new episode of Big Bang – the same time-slot in which The Millers second season was originally set to premiere.
The Millers moves to Monday nights in the 8:30 pm time-slot as of October 20th. The time-slot swap is only effective until January, with The Millers set to return to Thursday nights on January 8th, while Mom returns to Mondays on January 5th.
The schedule reshuffle comes after the strong ratings for this week’s double-episode of The Big Bang Theory, which allowed freshman drama Scorpion to premiere to 13.83 million viewers and a 3.2 demo rating, retaining 76% of its lead in audience in total viewers and 59% in the demo – numbers that CBS is clearly hoping will remain steady for the next 3 weeks.
