Shohreh Aghdashloo has been cast as Chrisjen Avasarala, a smart and passionate member of a political family legacy who has risen high in the ranks of Earth’s governing body without once standing for election; while Steven Strait will play Holden, the captain of the ice-carrying freighter the Canterbury who finds himself drawn into a dangerous plot.
Based on the book series of the same name, The Expense was adapted by Mark Fergus & Hawk Ostby who serve as executive producers alongside Sharon Hall, Andrew Kosove. Broderick Johnson and Naren Shankar. Alcon Television Group is producing the 10 episode series, which is expected to air on the network in 2015.
