EXCLUSIVE: Junix Inocian Joins BBC Two’s Two-Parter ‘One Child’

Junix Inocian has joined the cast of the upcoming BBC Two/SundanceTV co-production One Child, TVWise has learned exclusively.

One Child follows Mei, a first-born Chinese girl adopted by an American mother and British father, who is asked to return to her birthplace, Guangzhou, when her birth mother desperately seeks her assistance in saving her son. How far will Mei go to help the woman who gave her away and the brother she’s never met?

Junix Inocian has been cast in a guest role, though exact details of his character are being kept firmly under wraps. He is the latest actor to board the drama and joins a cast which also includes Katie Leung, Elizabeth Perkins, Donald Sumpter, Mardy Ma and Sebastion So.

The Filipino born actor is best known for his co-starring role on the short-lived Sky1 series Sinbad, which aired on Syfy in the United States. His other television credits include House of Anubis, Heartbeat and Lewis.

Complicit scribe Guy Hibbert penned the script for One Child, which is being produced in-house by BBC Drama Production in association with Sundance TV. The executive producer is Hilary Salmon, while John Alexander is attached to direct the two-parter.
