The second season of BBC One’s comedy series Big School will premiere on Friday August 29th at 9:30pm, it has been announced.
Created by David Walliams, Big School is set in an urban secondary school and is a comedy about a dysfunctional staff room, unrequited love and interactive white boards. The comedy series follows Mr Church, a chemistry teacher who’s hopelessly in love with the school’s new French teacher, who in turn is being chased by the lothario gym teacher. The comedy series is produced by BBC In-House Comedy and stars David Walliams, Philip Glenister, Catherine Tate, Frances de la Tour, Joanna Scanlan, Steve Speirs and Daniel Rigby.
The show’s second season opens as Miss Postern and Mr Church’s relationship has taken a downward turn after a misunderstanding over a date and the woefully underqualified Mr Gunn is now teaching geography as Mr Barber’s got a new job as the school caretaker. When Miss Postern sets up a careers workshop, it seems her slogan ‘Which way now?’ applies as much to her as it does her pupils, not least because the guest speaker is her old teacher training colleague Fenella Forbes.
