TNT has renewed Dick Wolf’s “true crime” series Cold Justice for a third season, TVWise has learned.
Cold Justice follows former Texas Prosecutor, Kelly Siegler, and former crime scene investigator, Yolanda McClary, as they travel across the US helping law enforcement agencies solve violent crimes which have sat unsolved for too long. The series is produced by Wolf Films & Magical Elves with Dick Wolf, Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz and Tom Thayer serving as executive producers.
The show’s second season is currently airing on TNT and has been averaging 2.3 million viewers in Live + 7 so far this summer, up 24% on the earlier episodes from season two, which aired in the Winter. In key demos, Cold Justice is averaging 912,000 adults 25-54 and 676,000 adults 18-49.
The factual effort is the latest element of TNT’s summer line up to swing a renewal for next season. The Turner owned network has also recently handed renewals to Major Crimes, The Last Ship and Falling Skies, which returns for its final season next Summer. TNT’s number one drama Rizzoli & Isles is expected to swing a renewal in the coming weeks, while TNT has yet to decide on Murder In The First and Perception.
