Silverkite Media – the distribution company set up by former ITVSGE executive Gary McDonagh – is expanding their presence in Canada and Germany with two key sales appointments.
The company has appointed David Seeler and his company Big Barn Distribution to manage sales of Silverkite’s titles in Canadian English and French speaking markets; while Seeler will also help Silverkite’s UK producers in setting up co-production projects with Canadian partners.
Silverkite Media has also announced that Elina Kewitz’s distribution company New Docs, formed in 2012 and based out of Cologne, will assume responsibility for selling their catalogue of content in Germany and German speaking Europe.
“The time was right to expand our sales presence in these important markets and I look forward to working with Elina, David and their sales teams to get our programming seen by more audiences” said Gary McDonagh, Managing Director of Silverkite Media.
In addition to these key sales appointments, Silverkite has also secured distribution rights to two new titles – Keiko The Untold Story, about the release of the Orca who was the star of Free Willy back into the wild; and Butterfly Girl, a film from Cary Bell which charts Abbie Evan’s struggle with a life threatening skin disease.
