Arrested Devlopment alum Portia de Rossi has landed a “top secret” recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of ABC’s Scandal.
Exact details of Portia de Rossi’s character, including the length of her arc on the show, are being kept firmly under wraps. The actress’ wife, Ellen DeGeneres, broke the news on Twitter saying: “So annoying when people brag on twitter & that’s why I’m not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on “Scandal”. Oops.”
In addition to her key role on Arrested Development, which she reprised for the recent revival on Netflix, Portia de Rossi has appeared on such series as Better Off Ted and Nip/Tuck. She also starred in the pilot for NBC’s failed The Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane and is best remembered by international audiences for her role as Nelle Porter of Ally McBeal.
ABC’s highest rated series, Scandal was picked up for a fourth season by the network this past May. The new season is slated to premiere on Thursday September 25th at 9/8c and is poised to deal with the sudden departure of Columbus Short, who exited the Kerry Washington fronted drama in April following his arrest on felony assault charges.
