ITV Greenlights Factual Series 'The Cruise Ship' Narrated by John Thomson – TVWise

ITV has green-lit The Cruise Ship, a four episode factual series narrated by John Thomson which documents the Royal Princess’ initial year at sea.
The Cruise Ship, which will air on ITV later this month, follows the more than one thousand crew members of the cruise ship the Royal Princess as they tend to the needs of their 3000 passengers during the ship’s first year at sea. The series is described as showcasing “a contrasting world of hard work and huge fun.”
The half-hour series is being produced for ITV by indie Pulse Films, who were able to secure exclusive access to the Royal Princess for The Cruise Ship. The factual effort was commissioned by ITV’s Factual Commissioning Editor Katy Thorogood. The executive producers are Richard Cook and Jon Lloyd.
“We are thrilled to be delivering our first project for ITV, building on the success we’ve had with the ob/doc format”, said Sam Sniderman, Pulse Films’ Managing Director of Film and Entertainment. “Storytelling is at the core of the Pulse Films offering and alongside our work in other sectors we are delighted to be delivering quality content for a primetime TV audience.”
