Sky and Fox have teamed together to produce a 24 style promo for the upcoming eighth season of Sky1’s hit series A League Of Their Own.
The promo features clips from the new season of A League Of Their Own, which is set to premiere this August, and sees the A League Of Their Own logo takes on the distinctive digital-clock look of the 24 logo. The ticking clock and iconic split-screens that are associated with 24 also feature.
The promo was made possible after Sky Media licensed the iconic 24 clock and sound effects from Fox Consumer Products. It will air on Sky1 tonight at 9:10pm during the series finale of 24: Live Another Day kicking off a special 24 themed ad break, which in addition to showcasing the new season of ALOTO, promotes products from P&G, Mercedes, Fox Home Entertainment, Samsung and Go Pro.
“What better way to celebrate the end of the brilliant 24: Live Another Day than by merging two of our leading shows together for a first look at the return of the BAFTA winning A League of Their Own”, said Sky1 Director Adam MacDonald.
While Sky Media MD John Litser added: “Jack’s return to Sky 1 has been such a success we wanted to make the final hour even more exciting for both viewers and advertisers alike.”
A staple of Sky1’s schedule, the James Corden fronted panel show A League Of Their Own was recently renewed through 2017 after Sky reached a three-year deal with CPL Productions. Meanwhile, 24 Live Another Day has been a strong performer for Sky1 over the past three months, with the premiere ranking as Sky1’s highest rated launch of 2014.
