TVWise presents our hot picks of must see television for the week ahead.

While most eyes are on the World Cup, there are a number of great TV programmes to grab your attention. This week sees the finale of the fourth season of HBO’s epic Game of Thrones (renewed for a further two years) as well as the limited event series Fargo. Also of note is PBS America’s documentary United States of Secrets and the long-awaited debut of the third season of Friday Night Dinner.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (E4 – Monday June 16th, 8pm)

The season finale sees Jake Peralta risk his badge in an effort to prove that a civic leader is guilty of money laundering. Meanwhile, the squad rallies around Boyle when Vivian calls off the engagement.

United States Of Secrets (PBS America – Tuesday June 17th, 10:15pm)

PBS America brings Frontline’s latest investigation, United States of Secrets, to the UK. The documentary takes an in-depth look at how Edward Snowden leaked details of numerous top-secret surveillance programs to The Guardian as well as exploring the history of the programs themselves (read our full review here).

24: Live Another Day (Sky1 – Wednesday June 18th, 9pm)

The 12 episode event series is back for its eighth episode which sees President Heller preparing to turn himself over to Margot Al-Harazi. Can Jack, with the assistance of Kate, find Al-Harazi’s operation and take control of the hijacked drones before it is too late?

Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4 – Friday June 20th, 9pm)

The third season of Channel 4’s comedy series kicks off with Adam finally bringing a girl over for dinner. Things get more than a little complicated, however, when 8 year old Katie, who has a crush on Adam, shows up.

Fargo (Channel 4 – Sunday June 22nd, 9pm)

The 10 episode event series which has gripped audiences on both side of the Atlantic draws to a close this week. Per the official episode synopsis: “Molly takes the lead, while Gus pursues a hunch. Lester manipulates a situation, and Malvo finds a new target”.
