Lionsgate has hired Mark James and Fabio Etienne-Tinchant to serve as sales directors based out of the company’s London office.
Mark James, who most recently served as CBS’ Sales Manager for CEE & Middle East, has been appointed as Lionsgate’s Director of Sales Central & Eastern Europe; while Fabio Etienne-Tinchant has been appointed as Lionsgate’s Director of Sales for Greece, Turkey, Africa, Middle-East, Spain and Portugal. Etienne-Tinchant joins from ITV Global Entertainment, where he served as Sales Director for South East EMEA. Mark James will report to Roberta Ibba-Hartog, Lionsgate’s Head of TV for the UK, Eire, CEE and Israel.
The two hires, which Lionsgate said were a reflection of the surge of new programming coming from their TV division, comes just as the company is preparing to unveil their slate of scripted dramas and comedies to Central and Eastern European buyers at NATPE Europe in Prague. Those series being showcased include the NBC mini-series Rosemary’s Baby, WGN America’s Manhattan, ABC Family’s Chasing Life, History’s Houdini as well as returning series Nashville, Orange Is The New Black and the Charlie Sheen starrer Anger Management.
“We have seen an extraordinary growth in Lionsgate TV’s programming output with even more in the pipeline. We have therefore expanded our London based sales team to reflect this significant increase in our production and future growth”, said Peter Iacono, Head of Lionsgate International. “Demand for our exceptional, award winning content is high across all platforms and I am extremely pleased that Lionsgate will have the benefit of these two experienced executives for these significant territories.”
