Grey Damon (Friday Night Lights), Gethin Anthony (Game Of Thrones) and Emma Dumont (Bunheads) have reportedly joined the cast of NBC’s event series Aquarius.
Aquarius is set in the late 1960s and follows LAPD Sergeant Sam Hodiak, a man with a complicated personal life who starts tracking a small-time criminal and budding cult leader seeking out vulnerable women to join his “cause.” The name of that man is Charles Manson. The twists and turns of a complicated undercover operation will lead Hodiak and his young partner to the brink of Manson’s crimes that will eventually lead to the Tate-LaBianca murders.
Per TVLine, Grey Damon has been cast as Brian Shafe, Hodiak’s partner; Gethin Anthony as Charles Manson; and Emma Dumot as Emma Karn. The trio join a cast which is being led by former The X-Files and Californication star David Duchovny, who is playing the lead role of LAPD Detective Sergeant Sam Hodiak.
The 13 episode series, currently slated to premiere on NBC during midseason, was created by John McNamara and was picked up with a straight-to-series order back in March. The series, which marks Duchovny’s return to broadcast television, is being produced by ITV Studios America in association with Marty Adelstein Productions. The executive producers are John McNamara, Marty Adelstein, Melanie Greene and David Duchovny.
