Netflix has today unveiled a first look image for the upcoming fourth and final season of The Killing.
In its short history The Killing has been cancelled twice by original network AMC, before becoming a Netflix original for its fourth and final season, which is set to premiere in all territories where Netflix has a presence – including the US, Canada and the UK – on August 1st.
The final season of The Killing, which consist of six episodes, is expected to address the events in the season two finale and will see Detectives Linden and Holder investigating a murder at an all-boys military academy just outside of Seattle. In addition to Enos and Kinnaman, regulars for season four include Joan Allen, Tyler Ross and Sterling Beaumon.
The image (see below) shows Joan Allen playing Colonel Margaret Rayne, the headmaster of the all-boys military academy.
