PBS America has unveiled the first trailer for their three-part documentary United States of Secrets, which is set to premiere on Tuesday June 17th at 10:15pm.

The three-parter was produced as part of the US PBS network’s current affairs strand Frontline and goes behind the facts that came to light from the Snowden leaks and explores how, after the events of 9/11, the US government set up these surveillance programs and the lengths they went to in order to keep them secret.

The first two parts features Michael Kirk exploring the history of the surveillance program, while part three follows Martin Smith investigating Silicon Valley’s connection to the NSA, and how the two had worked together on this highly classified surveillance operation. Across all three hours, Frontline interviews key people including Diane Roark; a staffer on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; as well as more than 60 whistleblowers, elected officials, journalists, intelligence insiders and cabinet officials.
