TV Trailer: Fox’s Batman Prequel ‘Gotham’

Fox has released the first trailer for Gotham, the Batman prequel series which the network just picked up to series for their 2014-2015 schedule.

From The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller and Warner Bros. Television, Gotham examines the early years of James Gordon – who would eventually rise to become the Police Commissioner – in his years as a Gotham City Police Department homicide detective, as well as the early years of Batman and the iconic villains of Gotham City.

The series stars Ben McKenzie (Southland), Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy), Sean Pertwee (Jo), Robin Lord Taylor (The Walking Dead), Zabryna Guevara (Burn Notice), Erin Richards (Being Human), Zabryna Guevara (Burn Notice), Jada Pinkett Smith (Hawthorne), David Mazouz (Touch) and Camren Bicondova.

Gotham is the third drama series that Fox has picked up for next season and will appear on the network’s schedule alongside fellow new entries Backstrom and Hieroglyph. Fox is also widely expected to hand out series orders to their other two drama pilots Empire and Red Band Society within the next few days – a move that was hinted at last week when they cancelled the ok rated Almost Human after just one season.
