TV Land has renewed their flagship original series Hot In Cleveland for a sixth season.
The comedy series, already the longest running and most successful TV Land series since the network moved into originals several years ago, has received an order for 24 episodes for its sixthseason, which is tentatively schedule to air in 2015. The show’s fifth season is set continue to run on TV Land throughout the Summer and will be used to launch the network’s new single camera comedy Jennifer Falls.
The announcement of the renewal was made during the rehearsal for the 100th episode of Hot In Cleveland, which goes before the cameras on Friday May 2nd. “There’s instant magic when our cast, writers and crew get together for each episode,” said Larry W. Jones, President of TV Land. “We’re so excited to be reaching these milestones and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in ‘Cleveland.”
Created by Suzanne Martin, Hot In Cleveland revolves around three best friends from the LA entertainment industry whose lives are changed forever when their plane, which was headed for Paris, unexpectedly lands in Cleveland. Finding themselves in this new promised land and loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker of the property they have rented. The series stars Betty White as Elka Ostrovsky, Jane Leeves as Joy Scroggs, Wendie Malick as Victoria Chase and Valerie Bertinelli as Melanie Hope Moretti.
