Lifetime UK has unveiled their new Better Things To Watch promo, which is part of a viral marketing campaign being rolled out by the A+E Networks UK owned and operated channel.
The promo, which runs just over 40 seconds in length, features a serenading stag before cutting suddenly to an image of the Lifetime logo and the tagline “There Are Better Things To Watch.” The video (see below) is the first of several virals which are being released as part of an aggressive marketing campaign for Lifetime UK.
Lifetime has a strong brand presence in the United States, where the female skewing network is best known for its original drama and unscripted output with shows such as Army Wives, Against The Wall and Drop Dead Diva. A+E Networks, keen to exploit the brand they had built in the United States, began rolling out international versions of Lifetime in 2013.
Lifetime UK was the first such major launch in November 2013. The channel airs a mix of acquired content from high end dramas such as The Client List, Damages and Witches of East End through to unscripted entries Dance Moms and the Real Housewives franchise. Lifetime UK is also commissioning their own originals and have recently green-lit a UK adaptation of the Dance Moms format titled Dance Mums.
