Amazon Prime Instant Video UK has released the first images (see below) from Ripper Street season three, which has just entered production in Manchester.
The third season of the period drama was officially green-lit in Late February after Amazon struck a deal with the BBC which saw Amazon UK commission an 8 episode third season from series producers Tiger Aspect Productions & Lookout Point which would first air on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK before airing on BBC One several months later. BBC America is also co-producing and will continue to air Ripper Street in the United States, while BBC Worldwide will continue to handle international distribution.
The new season is currently filming on location in Manchester and will soon move to Loughborough before returning to Dublin, Ireland, where the first two seasons where show. Regular cast members Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg are returning for the new season alongside MyAnna Buring as Long Susan. Season Three is slated to air on Amazon Prime Instant Video UK this Autumn and on BBC One in 2015. The first season of the series is also available on the streaming service, while the second season will be available for streaming from Monday June 2nd.
