Azita Ghanizada and Andrew Daly are set to appear on the upcoming third season of Major Crimes in guest starring roles.
Alphas alum Azita Ghanizada will appear as Angela Soames, who works for a potentially shady cryogenic facility; while Daly will reprise his role as eager wannabe detective a part he first played on the fifth season of The Closer.
Daly is the latest actor set to reprise a guest starring role on the show’s third season. Also set to return is Jon Tenney as FBI Special Gent Fritz Howard, Tom Berenger as Jack Raydor, Bill Brochtrup as Rusty’s therapist Dr Joe, Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Lt Cooper, Ransford Doherty as Coroner’s Investigator Kendall and Kathe Mazur as as DDA Andrea Hobbs.
Created by James Duff, Major Crimes follows the major crimes unit of the LAPD under the command of Captain Sharon Raydor. The drama series is produced by Warner Horizon Television and stars Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz, Phillip P. Keene, Kearran Giovanni, Graham Patrick Martin, Nadine Velazquez, Robert Gossett and Jonathan Del Arco.
The show’s third season will see the Major Crimes unit investigate the disappearance of two kids and their father, the death of the defendant in a rape trial and a complex case involving arranged marriages and diplomatic immunity. In addition, one of Sanchez’s old cases will resurface when it turns out a man he put away for manslaughter might be innocent. On the home front, Sharon Raydor will try to help Rusty put his turbulent past behind him, a goal made far more difficult when a member of the young man’s biological family returns, threatening Rusty’s hard-won stability.
