Jax and SAMCRO have not seen the last of District Attorney Tyne Patterson.
The Shield and Warehouse 13 alum CCH Pounder, who played the part of DA Patterson during Sons Of Anarchy’s sixth season, is set to reprise the role for a handful of episodes in the upcoming seventh season of the biker drama, which is expected to be the show’s last, TVWise can reveal.
The news comes shortly after Pounder was cast as a series regular in the planned NCIS spin-off NCIS: New Orleans, which just recently aired its pilot as a two-part episode of the parent series. She plays the part of Dr. Wade, the eccentric Jefferson Parish Medical Examiner, as part of an ensemble cast which also includes Scott Bakula and Lucas Black.
Pounder’s casting made it unlikely that Emmy nominated actress would return to Sons of Anarchy full time, but should NCIS: New Orleans move forward, CBS Television Studios will allow Pounder time off to film a handful of episodes for Sons Of Anarchy‘s seventh season. In an upcoming interview with TVWise, CCH Pounder said: “NCIS was gracious in giving us some episodes so that my character just doesn’t disappear from Season 6. So, she will carry over and I will be able to do a few episodes before I head down to New Orleans.”
