Sky Arts 1 Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Prisoners Of War’ Season 2

The second season of Prisoners of War (AKA Hatufim) – the Israeli drama which forms the basis of the Showtime series Homeland – will receive its UK premiere on Sky Arts 1 on Tuesday April 22nd at 10pm.

Created by Gideon Raff, Prisoners of War tells the story of two Israeli soldiers, Nimrod (Yoram Toledano) and Uri (Ishai Golan), who are released from Lebanon after being held as prisoners of war for 17 years. The two are wracked by guilt over the belief that they were traitor and had caused the death of fellow soldier and prisoner Amiel (Assi Cohen). In the show’s second season, Nimrod and Uri begin to find clues that Amiel didn’t die in captivity but is living in Syria. As they, along with Haim Cohen (Gal Zaid), begin to investigate his true fate, they learn he was turned by the organisation who subjected him, Nimrod and Uri to 17 years of torture.
