ITV Sets Premiere Date For ‘Vera’ Season 4

The fourth season of ITV’s hit drama series Vera will premiere on Sunday April 27th at 8pm, it has been announced.

Vera is based on the series of novels written by Ann Cleeves and follows experienced Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope as she tries to crack some of the toughest cases in Northumberland. Stanhope is obsessive about her work and driven by her own demons. If she’s lonely she doesn’t show it and faces the world with caustic wit, guile and courage. Her trusted and long-suffering colleague is Joe Ashworth, he is her right-hand man and surrogate son. Together they approach every new case with unparalleled gusto and professionalism. The drama series is produced by ITV Studios and stars Brenda Blethyn and David Leon. In the opening episode of season four, Vera (Brenda Blethyn) investigates the mysterious death of pensioner Margaret Kraszewski (Annabel Leventon), who is found stabbed on a busy Newcastle train at the height of rush hour.
