Flashpoint alum Amy Jo Johnson has joined the cast of USA Network’s CIA drama series Covert Affairs in a recurring role for its upcoming fifth season, TVWise has learned.
Johnson, whose previous television credits include Felicity and Spin City, has been cast as Hayley, an investigator with the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) who knows how to stand her ground. She is the latest actor to land a role on the show’s sixteen episode fifth season, joining the likes of Michael A. Goorjian and Nic Bishop.
The fifth season of Covert affairs will pick up directly from the season four finale which saw CIA operative Annie Walker fake her death, alter her identity and go deep undercover in the streets of Hong Kong to defeat her most cunning opponent, Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin). The new season will examine the price Annie will have to pay for this risky manoeuvre and the implications it will have on her relationships, both personally and professionally, as she attempts to re-emerge into the world she once knew.
