Universal Channel Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Bates Motel’ Season 2

The second season of A&E’s drama series Bates Motel will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Wednesday April 2nd at 9pm, it has been announced.

Created by Carlton Cuse, Bates Motel was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho and is described as a contemporary exploration of the formative years of Norman Bates, relationship with his mother, Norma, and the world they inhabit.  The drama series is produced by Universal Television and stars Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Max Thieriot, Nicola Peltz, Olivia Cooke and Nestor Carbonell.

In the show’s second season, Norman is fixating on Miss Watson’s death while Norma’s mysterious past starts to haunt the family with the introduction of her brother.

Guest stars for season two include Michael O’Neill (The West Wing), Michael Vartan (Alias), Kathleen Robertson (Boss) Paloma Kwiatkowski (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Rebecca Creskoff (The Practice), Kenny Johnson (Sons of Anarchy) and Michael Eklund (Supernatural).
