TNT has unveiled the first details of their summer schedule.
The cabler, which is home to such hit summer series as Major Crimes, Franklin & Bash and Rizzoli & Isles, has announced that new drama The Last Ship will premiere on Sunday June 22nd at 9/8c, followed straight behind by the fourth season of Falling Skies in the 10pm slot. Meanwhile, Howard Gordon’s new series Legends will debut on Wednesday August 20th at 9/8c. The premiere dates for the remainder of TNT’s summer schedule – including the back half of Dallas season 3, Franklin & Bash, Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles, Perception and Steven Bochco’s Murder In The First – will be announced at a later date.
“For the past three summers, TNT has had great creative and commercial success with Falling Skies, which has inspired us to continue to program for fans of sci-fi and action,” said Michael Wright, President and Head of Programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “This year, we’re going to launch The Last Ship and Legends, two expertly crafted shows that bring the storytelling scope and thrill-ride excitement of our favorite summer movies to series television. With their great writing, expansive casts and outstanding production quality, these are really fun, smart and addictive shows.”
