The fifth season of NBC’s comedy series Community will receive its UK premiere on Sony Entertainment Television on Thursday April 10th at 10pm, it has been announced.

Created by Dan Harmon, Community follows the exploits of a group of students at the Greendale Community College. The series stars Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover and Ken Jeong. In the opening episode of the show’s fifth season, which see the return of series creator Dan Harmon as showrunner, the Greendale Gang returns to their alma mater to help save the school – by suing it.

This marks the fourth consecutive season of Community to air on Sony Entertainment Television – the UK entertainment channel which is backed by Sony Pictures Television, who also happen to produce the series. SET picked up the UK rights in 2012 when the previous UK broadcaster, Viva, opted not to continue with the series. The cult comedy is one of only a handful of exclusive titles aired by SET in the UK, with the others being Serangoon Road and Hot In Cleveland.
