Melissa George Cast In ABC's Untitled Drama Pilot From Richard LaGravenese – TVWise

Melissa George has been tapped to play the female lead in ABC’s as-yet untitled drama pilot from Richard LaGravenese, TVWise has learned.
The Australian actress, who most recently had an arc on CBS’ The Good Wife, has been cast as Margot Worth, a powerful New York socialite. This is the latest major television role for George, whose previous credits include Alias, Grey’s Anatomy and the Australian series The Slap – which is currently being adapted as a limited event series at NBC. Melissa George also starred in the BBC One/Cinemax co-production Hunted and is attached to star in the spin-off Sam Hunter which is being written by Frank Spotnitz and is in development at Cinemax.
The untitled drama is set in New York City and revolves around the love and rivalry between Philip (Rufus Sewell) and Margot (Melissa George), two equally matched and powerful socialites who play out their obsessive seduction of each other through their manipulation of others. The project is set up at ABC Studios, with Erwin toff, Ilene Staple, Wren Arthur and Richard LaGravenese – who also wrote the script – serving as executive producers.
