Josh Duhamel has been set as one of the two leads in CBS’ upcoming straight-to-series effort Battle Creek, which hails from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and House showrunner David Shore.
Duhamel, whose list of TV credits includes All My Children, Las Vegas and Crossing Jordan, has been cast as FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain. The character is described as both clean cut and humble. He is a slightly naïve agent, whom the Bureau sends to Battle Creek to set up a satellite FBI office.
The Transformers alum is the latest actor to board the 13 episode drama series. He joins a cast which includes Janet McTeer (Damages), Kal Penn (House), and Dean Winters (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).
Battle Creek tells the story of two very different cops, Detective Russ Agnew and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain, who are teamed up to clean up the mean streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios produced drama is written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, who also serves as an executive producer on the series. House creator David Shore also EPs and will serve as showrunner, while Bryan Singer is attached to direct.
