Without A Trace star Anthony LaPaglia is returning to CBS for a starring role in one of the network’s drama pilot.
The award winning actor has landed the lead role in Red Zone, the terrorism themed pilot from Nikki Toscano, Universal Television, CBS Television Studios and director James Foley, TVWise has learned.
Red Zone follows Holden Weller (Anthony LaPaglia), a former CIA operative turned high school football coach who is brought back into the fold and returns to Langley after a major terrorist attack in Washington, D.C.
This marks LaPaglia’s first television role for CBS since Without A Trace was cancelled in 2009, though he did star in the Fox drama pilot Boomerang last year. While he has shyed away from television of late, LaPaglia has remained active in features having recently starred in A Good Marriage and Big Stone Gap.
