Anne Heche is heading to Jerusalem.
The actress, who recently starred in NBC’s short-lived comedy series Save Me, has joined the cast of USA Network’s event series DIG, which is being toplined by Awake alum Jason Isaacs.
Heche will play Lynn, the head of the FBI’s Jerusalem field office and Peter’s (Isaacs) boss. She is also his only friend and occasional lover. Despite her sense of humor and soft side, Lynn is tough and isn’t afraid to take her team—including Peter—to task when they slip up.
DIG follows FBI Special Agent Peter Connelly (Isaacs) who is currently working in Jerusalem. While there, Connelly finds himself embroiled in a race to track down a religious artifact that could trigger an event that would change the course of history. During the search he becomes the suspect in a sensational murder.
The six episode series is the USA Network’s most recent event series, following on from 2012’s Political Animals, which starred Sigourney Weaver. DIG was developed by Keshet Media, with Universal Cable Productions and Tecumseh Productions producing. The executive producers are Tim Kring, Gideon Raff, Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun, Gene Stein and Keshet Media Group CEO Avi Nir
