Sissy Spacek (Big Love) has joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming drama series from Damages creators Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, TVWise has learned.
Spacek has been cast as the mother of the siblings at the center of the drama. Her casting comes less than 24 hours after Mad Men alum Linda Cardellini joined the series as Meg, the youngest of the four siblings. The cast also includes Kyle Chandler (Zero Dark Thirty) and Ben Mendelsohn (The Dark Knight Rises).
Created by Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, the untitled drama series explores the wounds & emotional demons that lie at the core of a contemporary American family and centers on a family of adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home. The series is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and will be made available in all territories where Netflix has a presence, including the UK & Ireland. The executive producers are Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman.
