Emmy award winner Judy Davis (Page Eight) has reportedly exited Fox’s upcoming event series 24: Live Another Day.

According to Deadline, Davis, who had yet to leave her native Australia to shoot a single scene for Live Another Day, was forced to withdraw from the project due to “personal family matters.” The recurring role that Davis was cast to play – that of Margot, a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist – is being recast, with Davis’ departure and the recasting process not expected to have a major impact on the production.

Penned by Howard Gordon & David Fury, 24: Live Another Day will be set and shot in London and follows the exploits of Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who, now in exile, is being hunted by a CIA team when he learns of and attempts to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever. The limited event series, which Fox said could be followed by additional such entries in the coming years, is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment & Teakwood Lane Productions and stars Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, William Devane, Stephen Fry, Benjamin Bratt, Giles Matthey, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Wincott, Colin Salmon, Tate Donovan and Yvonne Strahovski.
