The second season of E4’s drama series My Mad Fat Diary will premiere on Monday February 17th at 10pm, it has been announced.

Based on the real life diaries of Rae Earl and written by Tom Bidwell, My Mad Fat Diary takes an honest look at teenage life from the perspective of Rae Earl, a funny, music-mad 16-year-old who, despite an eccentric mother and her own body image and mental health issues, has a huge lust for life, love and trying to get laid. The series is produced by Tiger Aspect Productions and stars Sharon Rooney, Ciara Baxendale, Dan Cohen, Jodie Comer, Jordan Murphy and Nico Mirallegro. The show’s second season, kicks off at the hazy end of the long hot summer of 1996, just after Rae has finally revealed the truth about her mental health to her gang of friends and shared that moment with object of her lust, Finn. Things are pretty much as good as they get in Lincolnshire.  But there’s something looming on the horizon which threatens to disrupt the glorious status quo…college.
